healing

healing works with the body’s energy pathways.  Like acupuncture it releases blocked energy and addresses energy deficiencies.  The body has its own sense of remembered wellness, and healing helps that pattern to be rediscovered and restored.  

the person receiving healing remains fully clothed (shoes are usually removed) and can be either seated or lying on a couch.  A light, non-intrusive touch (head, shoulders, hands, knees, feet) is all that is used.

although often known as “spiritual healing” it does not require any form of religious or spiritual belief on the part of the “heal-ee”, though an open mind and a willingness to change are helpful.

EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) - another very effective yet gentle method of directly balancing the body's energy system.

using EFT involves 'tuning into' a troubling issue and then tapping on specific acupressure points with your fingers. For example if you still carry anger towards someone who has hurt you in the past, you would be asked to think about them, and notice how you feel. (Note that you do not have to relive past events - you just have to be aware that the negative feeling is there.) Having 'tuned in' to the feeling, you are shown which acupressure points to tap, and what words to say as you do so. (Saying the words aloud also helps disperse the emotion from the system).

after a round or two of tapping you are asked to think about the person or situation again and check how you feel. Typically you will notice a significant reduction in the intensity of the feeling. If it's not completely gone then the EFT practitioner repeats the process, bringing the intensity down each time until full balance is restored.
